This is a themed trail connecting various “stations,” each dedicated to a planet in our solar system. The stages are arranged according to a precise scale: each step separating one “planet” from another on Earth is equivalent to one billion steps in space. This gives you a clear idea of the vastness of the universe!

The trail starts from the picturesque viewpoint of Croce delle Pradole and arrives at the “Felsina” Astronomical Observatory, passing through Montepastore, for a total of about 7 km. Up to the village, the trail follows secondary roads, slightly downhill; the second section (up to the observatory, which ideally represents the Sun) winds along actual trails, with an elevation gain of about 200 meters.
